Trip Overview

      It had been almost 2 years since our trip to India (Check it out here), so Andrea and I decided it was time for another adventure. We wanted an active vacation where we'd be able to spend time outdoors, hiking and camping in the mountains, seeing amazing natural scenery, and also be able to see some interesting historical and cultural sites. It didn't take much looking around to find that Peru had all of that and more. We were able to arrange a trek in the northern Peruvian region of Chachapoyas for the first week, then a few days in Cuzco and Machu Picchu, and finally, as a bonus, four days in Costa Rica.
      Although we were pushing our luck by travelling near the beginning of the rainy season in both Peru and Costa Rica, we were extremely lucky and had fantastic weather nearly the entire
trip. In fact, with barely any exceptions every detail worked out incredibly well and the trip was one of the best imaginable. Follow the links below to read about our adventures and see all of our photos.
